The Boeing Law Department has exclusively engaged Harris Legal Search to recruit an exceptional attorney to support the Supply Chain organization within the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business.

BDS is a diversified, global organization providing leading solutions for defense and space customers, and the Supply Chain organization is charged with the procurement of goods and services relating to these products and services. 

This position will provide expert legal advice and counsel in all aspects of buyer-side contracting, including front-end contract negotiations and contract performance disputes. The position requires experience and knowledge in U.S. government.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred candidates have demonstrated knowledge, ability and experience in the following areas:
    • Advice and counsel concerning complex supply agreements, including negotiation, interpretation and disputes.
    • Advice and counsel concerning government contracting principles, statutes and regulations.
    • Provision of business-oriented legal advice and the ability to proactively identify legal issues and risk.
  • Eight or more years of substantial relevant experience is desired.
  • Previous law firm, in-house, or government experience serving in positions of significant responsibility is preferred.
  • Active law license required, with the ability or eligibility to practice law as required geographically; in-house counsel license acceptable.
  • Preferred candidates should also be open and flexible to future relocation and growth within the Boeing Law Department.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications
  • Excellent business judgment and the ability to navigate a highly matrixed
  • Preferred candidates shall have exceptional communication and strategic thinking skills, strong analytical and advisory talents and demonstrated success in a variety of challenging and diverse legal roles.
  • Preferred candidates will also be team-oriented with positive disposition and attitude. The position will involve interaction with senior executives and junior level procurement personnel alike, requiring strong, professional communication as well as a willingness to instruct and provide training.
