The Boeing Law Department has exclusively engaged Harris Legal Search to recruit an attorney supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) Government Services division and the BGS Supply Chain organization.  Boeing Global Services is a global-leader in the provision of aerospace services and the supply of aftermarket parts and equipment to military and commercial customers around the world.

The focus of this position is to provide expert legal advice and counsel supporting the negotiation, formation, and administration of U.S. Government contracts and commercial contract relationships with BGS suppliers.  The successful candidate will serve as primary legal advisor to BGS business and functional leaders responsible for multi-billion dollar business relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactive, business-oriented legal advice supporting the formation, execution, and administration of complex commercial contracts, distribution agreements, and international commercial transactions; including advice in support of domestic and international Department of Defense programs and significant new business ventures.
  • The provision of advice and counsel concerning all aspects of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) transactions, including complex international sales agreements, offset requirements; and compliance with respect to export and import laws, The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and other government regulations.
  • The handling of complex contract litigation, and bankruptcy matters.
  • Legal entity formation, management, and restructuring.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five or more years of substantial relevant experience, including a license to practice law.
  • Previous law firm, in-house, or government experience serving in positions of significant responsibility preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and strategic thinking skills, strong analytical and advisory talents and demonstrated success in a variety of challenging and diverse legal roles.
  • Team-oriented with positive disposition and attitude.
  • Because the position will involve extensive interaction with senior business and program executives, preferred candidates will also have demonstrated ability to couple legal advice with pragmatic business solutions.
  • Ability to proactively identify issues and develop and provide training as required.
  • Ability to obtain security clearances is preferred.
  • Preferred candidates should be open and flexible to future relocation and growth within the Boeing Law Department.
