Harris Legal Search has been exclusively engaged by Aristocrat Digital (Product Madness and Big Fish Games) to recruit an experienced and motivated Corporate Counsel, Intellectual Property to join this growing and dynamic company. 

The position will be based in Seattle, Washington, and report directly to the Senior Director and Associate General Counsel, Intellectual Property.  The Corporate Counsel, Intellectual Property will work with cross-functional legal and business teams to provide risk assessments, intellectual property clearance, enforcement and protection, and client education.  Our ideal candidate is proactive, entrepreneurial and solutions oriented, and enjoys taking on new challenges.


  • Assisting with management and prosecution of global trademark, copyright, and domain portfolios.
  • Advising businesses on selection of trademarks, conduct global trademark clearances, and prepare risk assessments.
  • Assisting with dispute and enforcement activities, including investigations, DMCA takedowns, cease and desist letters, oppositions, cancellations, UDRPs, and IP litigation.
  • Reviewing and clearing game and promotional content for compliance with copyright, trademark, and right of publicity laws.
  • Negotiating and drafting assignments, licenses, consent agreements, and other IP agreements.
  • Manage relationships with IP product and support vendors.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to understand, support, and protect business growth and product development by creating and deploying IP strategy, policies, programs, communications, tools, and templates.
  • Creating and delivering cross-channel educational presentations and tools about relevant intellectual property issues that are pertinent to the company.
  • Balancing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced industry.


  • Exceptional academic background from a top-tier law school and currently admitted to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 3+ years of relevant IP experience.
  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills, including strong drafting skills.
  • Keen eye for issue spotting across legal disciplines.
  • Ability to simply and clearly provide sound counsel and efficiently drive complex projects in the face of imperfect information and ambiguity with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to react with urgency to situations and events that require a quick response.
  • Passion for continuous learning and professional development, with flexibility and willingness to dive into any projects requiring legal support.
  • Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • High level of professional integrity and discretion with colleagues and senior management internally, and with third parties on behalf of the company.
  • Excellent, practical judgment regarding business and legal decisions.
  • Leadership style that is straightforward and inclusive.
  • Willing to “roll up your sleeves” to work with other members of the Aristocrat Digital legal team and business clients at all levels of the company to drive both strategy and execution of projects and initiatives.
