The Boeing Law Department has exclusively engaged Harris Legal Search to recruit an exceptional attorney to support the Boeing Commercial Airplanes business, with a focus on contract interpretation and dispute resolution.

This hire will interface directly with business leaders, senior engineers, and other company attorneys and executives at all levels of The Boeing Company. 

This executive-level position will report to the BCA Chief Counsel for Airplane Programs and Supply Chain, who reports to the Assistant General Counsel for Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide a range of legal support to Boeing Commercial Airplanes’ Airplane Programs and Supply Chain organizations.
  • Providing legal support to Boeing Commercial Airplanes’ Airplane Programs and Supply Chain organizations.
  • Advising on contract negotiations including revising and drafting contract terms.
  • Preparing and conducting training on compliance matters.
  • Manage outside counsel, including establishing and supervising outside counsel budgets.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four or more years of broad-based experience, including a license to practice law. Excellent academic performance demonstrated.
  • Any combination of experience in a major law firm, corporate in-house, federal judicial law clerk and/or government agency will be considered Experience as a federal law clerk is a plus.  Experience as a federal law clerk is a plus.
  • Significant experience interpreting and negotiating contracts and advising in connection with contractual disputes.
  • Licensed to practice and admission in good standing to the Bar of any state.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in an organizational setting, law firm, government agency and/or corporation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Outstanding written and oral communications skills.
  • Excellent business judgment and the ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization.
  • Highly responsive in a practice area where precise legal advice is needed by the business unit promptly.
  • Solution-oriented, creative, and decisive and will exercise sound legal judgment under varying circumstances, including ones that are time sensitive or where limited information is available. Accordingly, it is essential that this attorney have the experience, judgment, confidence, and poise necessary to interact at the highest levels of the organization with significant autonomy.
